We are putting out three albums of spoken word material by Ian "Moet" Moss. Titled "Anything Is Permitted At Any Given Time" the set is being released as "charity" albums with all proceeds going towards three causes dear to Moet's heart:
- Volume One - Segments : supports FC United Of Manchester
- Volume Two - Hammer Blows : supports Emmaus Salford
- Volume Three - We Are From The North : supports Strummercamp
Following his departure from the band Kill Pretty, Moet was frustrated that a lot of lyrics he had written with the band would not see the light of day so he set about, in a mammoth recording session, in laying down all the words he had put together for that band in spoken word format. Working with long time collaborator Space Museum he devised ambient sounds to support the words. The result is three albums worth of material couching the lyrics in a completely new soundscape.
The albums are released at £4 each with purchasers invited to pay more should they wish to more generously support the causes listed. Over the three albums you will hear the lyrics that appeared on the two released albums In 80 Days and Dark Heart, the as yet unreleased Bubblegum Now, plus many more tracks that never made it out of the rehearsal room. The background sounds include electronica, jazz, dub reggae and pop stylings all giving room for the lyrics to be heard in all their glory.
Please find below a link which gives access to a selection of tracks from across the three releases
